Preliminary B&W drawing
The Protector
The Lincoln Memorial with an American Eagle perched on the hand of the monument. This developed from a unique commission request for a black and white drawing of President Abraham Lincoln with an eagle perched on his lap in full color. I created 2 concepts for this, one a more literal portrait of Lincoln with an eagle, and a second which replaced the live Abraham Lincoln with the Lincoln Memorial. The client loved my interpretation of her original idea. This illustration was later featured on the front page of the Creative Finder website.
Exhibited in Phillustration 12 online exhibition at The Philadelphia Sketch Club.
